Online counseling can be a wonderful addition to monthly in-person sessions, or for busy professionals and for individuals who are located far from Stuttgart. Follow the easy steps below to start your first online counseling session.
PREPARE FOR YOUR SESSION
Plan ahead for a distraction-free counseling session -- This is your time!
Turn off the phones, inform the members of your household or office that you are not to be disturbed for an hour.
Before the session begins, clear away any clutter near your computer.
Consider having a glass of water or a cup of tea prepared to sip on during the conversation.
Have any relevant materials on hand and readily available (ie: exercises/worksheets/books).
Communication is essential for a successful online counseling session. If you have any concerns about how our sessions are going, please feel free to share them with me. You are welcome to email me in between sessions to offer feedback on your experience and/or in preparation for our next session together.
